Available in 1.5mm granulometries.<br> <br> For coating all new, old or painted surfaces to give a water-repellent, vapour-permeable, rustic finish with long-lasting protection against aggressive environments and sunlight.<br> <br> Some application examples<br> <br> Decorating and protecting all new and well-cured cementitious or lime-based renders which are cohesive, well-attached and which are not crumbly.<br> Decorating and protecting insulation cladding systems.<br> Covering old paint and old plastic or mineral coatings which are well attached to the substrate.<br> Covering old plastic or mineral coatings applied on thermal cladding systems which are well-attached to the substrate with no cracks or crazing.<br> TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS<br> <br> Silancolor AC Tonachino is a fibre-reinforced, acrylic-siloxane resin-based coating in water dispersion which offers the combined advantages of mineral coatings and synthetic coatings. Thanks to its special formulation, it makes substrates water-repellent and vapour-permeable and it also offers excellent protection against UV rays.<br> <br> Contains synthetic fires for good crack resistance.<br> Bonds perfectly to all types of conventional render and to old, well-bonded paintwork.<br> Resistant to all types of climatic conditions, aggression from smog, saltwater and sunlight and forms a hard-wearing, protective layer on substrates which resists to the rigours of time.<br> Gives the substrate an attractive rustic finish and is available in a wide range of colours obtained using the ColorMap® automatic colouring system.<br> Complies with the requirements of EN 15824 (“Specifications for external renders and internal plasters based on organic binders”) for internal and external use.<br> RECOMMENDATIONS<br> <br> Do not apply Silancolor AC Tonachino on damp substrates, or on substrates which are not well cured.<br> Do not apply Silancolor AC Tonachino if the temperature is lower than +5°C or higher than +35°C.<br> Do not apply Silancolor AC Tonachino if the humidity level is higher than 85%.<br> Do not apply Silancolor AC Tonachino if it is about to rain, in windy weather or if there is direct sunlight.<br> Do not apply Silancolor AC Tonachino for decorating de-humidifying render.APPLICATION PROCEDURE<br> Preparation of the substrate<br> <br> New surfaces requiring treatment or areas patched up with repair mortar must be well-cured, perfectly clean, cohesive and dry.<br> <br> Remove all traces of oil and grease from the surface and any parts which are not well attached.<br> <br> Seal all cracks and repair areas which are deteriorated.<br> <br> Seal porosity and even out the surface of the substrate with mortar and skimming compound from the MAPEI Building line.<br> <br> Apply Silancolor Primer or Silancolor Base Coat and leave it to dry for 12-24 hours before applying Silancolor AC Tonachino.<br> <br> Preparation of the product<br> <br> Silancolor AC Tonachino is supplied ready to use and just needs to be well mixed with a low-speed drill. If the product is too viscous, add 1-2% of water.<br> <br> Application of the product<br> <br> Apply Silancolor AC Tonachino using a stainless or plastic trowel on a dry coat of Silancolor Base Coat or<br> <br> Silancolor Primer.<br> <br> It can be also applied by spray, with suitable tools.<br> <br> Cleaning: The equipment used for application can be cleaned with water before Silancolor AC Tonachino dries.<br> <br> Packaging: 20kg plastic bucket<br> <br> Consistency: Paste<br> <br> Application temperature range: from +5C to +35C<br> <br> Colour: white or various colours using the ColorMap® automatic colouring system.<br> Density (EN ISO 2811-1) (g/cm³): approx. 1.70.<br> Dry solids content (EN ISO 3251-1) (%): approx. 80.<br> Dilution rate: supplied ready to use (it can be diluted with 1-2% of water).<br> Recoat time: 24 hours.<br> Storage: 24 months.<br> Application: trowel.<br> Consumption: 1.2 mm: 1.9-2.3 kg/m².<br> Packaging: 20 kg.
