Remmers Betofix R3 SR – Fibre Reinforced Structural Concrete Repair Mortar (25kg)

Remmers Betofix R3 SR is a fibre-reinforced PCC (Polymer Cement Concrete) repair mortar developed for the structural repair and reinstatement of damaged concrete. Classified as an EN 1504-3 Class R3 repair mortar, it is ideal for repairing concrete structures where the original concrete has moderate strength or where a highly durable repair is required.

Its sulphate-resistant formulation makes Betofix R3 SR particularly well suited to wastewater treatment plants, sewage facilities, agricultural buildings and other aggressive environments. The mortar provides excellent adhesion, low shrinkage and outstanding resistance to freeze/thaw cycles, ensuring long-lasting repairs in demanding conditions.

Designed for hand application or wet spray methods, Betofix R3 SR can be applied to horizontal, vertical and overhead surfaces. It is suitable for repairing spalled concrete, damaged edges, beams, columns and reinforced concrete structures, delivering a durable repair that restores both the integrity and appearance of the substrate.

Key Features
Fibre reinforced PCC structural repair mortar
EN 1504-3 Class R3 compliant
Sulphate-resistant (SR/NA formulation)
Excellent adhesion to prepared concrete
Very low shrinkage
Freeze/thaw resistant
Suitable for overhead applications
Can be applied by hand or wet spray
Suitable for internal and external use
Ideal for wastewater, agricultural and industrial environments

Typical Applications
Structural concrete repairs
Repair of spalled reinforced concrete
Concrete beams and columns
Wastewater treatment facilities
Sewage tanks and manholes
Agricultural buildings
Concrete retaining walls
Industrial concrete structures
Repair of damaged concrete edges and corners

Coverage
Coverage is approximately 2.0kg per m² per mm of thickness.
A 25kg bag will cover approximately:

12.5m2 at 1mm
2.5m2 at 5mm
1.25m2 at 10mm

Coverage will vary depending on substrate condition and application thickness.

Application
Ensure the concrete substrate is clean, sound and free from dust, loose material and contaminants. Pre-wet the surface so it is damp without standing water before application. Mix mechanically with approximately 2.8 litres of clean water per 25kg bag until a smooth, workable consistency is achieved. Apply in layers between 5–20mm in a single coat, or up to 40mm in two wet-on-wet applications.

Storage
Store unopened in a cool, dry environment. Shelf life is approximately 12 months when kept in its original sealed packaging.
